48V DC Generators
For battery charging applications, Innotec’s DC Generators are designed based on the battery bank size. One of the most common battery bank sizes for mobile equipment has been the 48V DC bank. This size DC battery bank doesn’t need a constant 48 Volt Charging voltage but it needs a range of charging voltage according to the characteristics of the battery bank.
Innotec’s 48V DC Generators generally run anywhere from 46Vdc to 60 Vdc depending on the characteristics of the battery management system. This often a programmable and design characteristic of the generator that you order. Each battery manufacturer specifies what charge levels are best for the longevity and performance of their batteries.
While the 48V DC Generator configuration is generally the most common, it is important to not oversize your system for 48V DC voltage. Increasing your amps too high will lead to efficiency losses or require liquid cooling on the 48V DC Generator systems.
