44.2 Nm continuous at 2,100 RPM · 125.6 Nm peak · 255 frame
The 255-HZS72-125 is a 9.5 kW 72 volt BLDC motor that fills the gap between the mid-range 255 windings and the heavy ones. It holds 44.2 Nm continuously at 2,100 RPM on 125 Arms, and reaches 125.6 Nm at 375 Arms — nearly three times continuous, with a peak of 25.9 kW.
Until now the HZS72 family started at 13 kW: the -160 gives 42.5 Nm at 2,900 RPM and the -250 gives 39 Nm at 5,100 RPM, both of them fast machines drawing 160 amps or more. This winding keeps the family’s torque — 44.2 Nm, slightly more than either — but delivers it at 2,100 RPM on 125 amps. For equipment that needs the HZS torque without the speed or the current, it is the obvious choice, and until now there was nothing in the range that fitted.
At 0.353 Nm per amp the winding sits between the fast, light machines and the slow, high-torque ones. Rotor inertia is 0.006761 kg·m², moderate for a 38 kg frame, which gives it useful steadiness under varying load while still responding to a speed command. Torque holds flat from standstill to rated speed at every current up to 250 Arms; only the peak curve falls before 2,100 RPM, so peak power is reached just below rated speed. At 175 Hz the drive requirement is comfortable for any 72 volt controller.
Bearings are 6207-2Z/C3 at the drive end and 6206-2Z/C3 at the non-drive end, a slightly lighter pairing than the 6008/6006 combination used on the FES and AZZS windings.
Quality and compliance
Manufactured at our ISO 9001:2015 certified plant in Faridabad, India. Designed and tested to IEC 60034 — performance and rating to IEC 60034-1, IP64 enclosure to IEC 60034-5, mounting designations to IEC 60034-7, and Class H insulation to IEC 60085.
Every motor is individually tested before dispatch, not batch-sampled: winding resistance, insulation resistance, high-voltage withstand, back-EMF constant, no-load and loaded run, and temperature rise. Test reports are available on request.
