PMSM motor range: 24 V to 565 V
Innotec Power is a permanent magnet motor manufacturer. We design and build PMSM motors at our own plant in Faridabad, India, and support them from our US office in Charlotte, North Carolina. More than 350 models are published with full ratings, so a motor can be sized against its duty cycle rather than a single headline number.
| DC bus | Models | Continuous power | Continuous torque | Rated speed | Rotor |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 24 V | 73 | 0.1 – 13 kW | 1 – 152 Nm | 45 – 5,700 rpm | SPM and IPM |
| 48 V | 147 | 0.2 – 27.3 kW | 0.9 – 543 Nm | 35 – 6,400 rpm | SPM and IPM |
| 72 V | 63 | 1.1 – 37 kW | 2.8 – 217 Nm | 650 – 5,800 rpm | SPM and IPM |
| 96 V | 37 | 0.9 – 31.3 kW | 3.6 – 373 Nm | 180 – 4,800 rpm | SPM and IPM |
| 400 / 565 V | 31 | 1 – 120 kW | 19 – 912 Nm | 60 – 3,000 rpm | SPM |
Every model is published at three duty points — continuous, 60 minutes and 15 minutes — so an intermittent-duty application can often use a smaller frame than its peak load would suggest. Popular ratings have their own comparison pages: 48V 10kW, 72V 10kW, and IPM versus surface-magnet rotors.

Brake Motors
Brake motors are designed for applications where stopping power and safety are important. These motors have a built-in electromagnetic brake that allows fast stopping, holding, and precise control. Our brake motors use PMAC motor technology, which gives higher efficiency, compact size and long working life. They are ideal for material handling, conveyors, hoists, elevators, industrial machines and automation systems. With a permanent magnet synchronous design, these motors deliver stable speed, high torque and low maintenance, making them a reliable choice for continuous industrial operations.

Hydraulic Pump Motors
Pump motors are built to offer smooth flow, strong torque and stable performance in pumping applications. Our PMAC pump motors run cooler, use less energy and last longer than traditional induction motors. They are suitable for hydraulic pumps, water pumps, oil pumps, cooling tower pumps and industrial circulation systems. These motors deliver constant torque even at low RPM, which makes them ideal for energy-efficient pumping and heavy-duty industrial use.

PMAC | BLDC Motors
Our PMAC motors and BLDC motors are engineered for high performance, fast response and excellent energy efficiency. As permanent magnet synchronous motors, they provide strong torque, low heat generation and long service life. These motors are widely used in automation, robotics, EV applications, HVAC, pumps, industrial machinery and battery-powered equipment. Available in multiple voltage options such as 24V, 48V, 72V and up to high voltage, our PMAC/BLDC motors are lightweight, reliable and perfect for demanding applications.
HVAC Motors
HVAC motors are designed for cooling, heating and ventilation systems used in commercial, industrial and residential setups. Our range includes motors for cooling towers, AHU units, blowers and ventilation fans. These motors are high-efficiency PMSM motors that consume less energy, run quietly and offer long-term durability. With permanent magnet technology, they deliver stable air movement, smooth operation and improved climate control performance.

Traction Motors
Traction motors are used in electric vehicles, AGVs, material-handling systems, electric carts and battery-powered machines. Our PMAC traction motors offer high torque, quick acceleration and excellent speed control. Because of their permanent magnet design, they provide higher power density, lower losses and longer battery life. These motors are suitable for 24V, 48V, 72V and other voltage setups depending on customer requirements.

High Voltage Motors
High voltage motors are built for heavy-duty industrial work where high power output is needed. These motors deliver excellent torque, strong performance at high speeds and superior efficiency under tough working conditions. Typical applications include industrial machinery, compressors, large pumps, cooling towers, marine systems and construction equipment. With PMAC technology, they offer reduced heat, dependable operation and long service life even under continuous load.

Low RPM Motors
Low RPM motors are ideal for machinery that requires high torque at slower speeds. Our low RPM PM synchronous motors provide smooth power delivery, low noise and higher efficiency compared to induction motors. They are widely used in conveyors, agitators, mixers, direct-drive applications, material-handling systems and slow-speed industrial machines. Low RPM PMSM motors help save energy, reduce maintenance and ensure stable long-term performance.

Hub Motors
Hub motors are compact, high-torque motors designed for electric mobility and wheel-drive applications. These motors are commonly used in electric scooters, AGVs, carts, warehouse robots and compact mobility equipment. Our hub motors use BLDC/PMSM technology, delivering silent operation, smooth movement, high efficiency and excellent control at different speeds. They are available in multiple power and voltage options for custom mobility solutions.

Permanent magnet (PM) motors are electric motors that use permanent magnets to generate the magnetic field instead of external excitation. This design offers high efficiency, compact size, and robust torque — making them ideal for modern applications like pump drives, HVAC systems, traction, and more.
Our PM motors leverage best-in-class materials and engineering standards to deliver consistent performance across duty cycles, whether in heavy-duty industrial settings or sensitive applications like telecom backup or marine systems.
PMSM motors: common questions
What is a PMSM motor?
A permanent magnet synchronous motor is an AC motor whose rotor carries permanent magnets instead of windings or a squirrel cage. The stator is fed with sinusoidal three-phase current and the rotor turns in exact synchronism with the rotating stator field, so there is no slip. Because the rotor field costs no excitation current, a PMSM runs cooler and more efficiently than an induction motor in the same frame, and it holds that efficiency across a wide speed range.
Is a PMSM better than a BLDC motor?
They are largely the same machine driven two different ways. A BLDC motor has a trapezoidal back-EMF and is commutated in six steps; a PMSM has a sinusoidal back-EMF and is driven with field-oriented control. The PMSM gives smoother torque, lower acoustic noise and better part-load efficiency, while the BLDC drive is simpler and cheaper. For pumps, traction and anything a person sits on or stands near, sinusoidal control is usually worth the extra drive cost.
What are the disadvantages of a PMSM motor?
Three matter in practice. Rare-earth magnets make the motor more expensive per kW than an induction machine. The magnets are temperature sensitive, so sustained over-temperature can partially demagnetise the rotor, which is why duty ratings rather than peak figures should drive selection. And a PMSM always needs an electronic drive with rotor position information; it cannot be started direct on line.
How is a PMSM motor controlled?
With a field-oriented, or vector, controller. The drive measures phase currents and rotor position, resolves the current into a torque-producing component and a flux-producing component, and regulates each independently. Position comes from a resolver, an encoder or Hall sensors, or is estimated in sensorless schemes above a minimum speed. Above base speed the drive can inject negative flux current to weaken the field and extend the speed range, which is where an interior-magnet rotor has the advantage over a surface-magnet one.
Does Innotec Power supply custom PMSM motors?
Yes. Winding, shaft, flange, connector and feedback options are changed to order, and new frames are developed against a customer duty cycle. Send the torque-speed profile, the DC bus voltage and the duty pattern and we will size against it. See custom PMSM motors.
