83 Nm continuous at 1,500 RPM · 236 Nm peak · 255 frame
The 255-AEZS24-500 is a 12 kW 24 volt BLDC motor and one of the largest machines Innotec builds on a 24 volt bus. It holds 83 Nm continuously at 1,500 RPM on 500 Arms, and will reach 236 Nm at 1,500 Arms — close to three times its continuous torque, with a peak output of 34.5 kW.
Getting twelve kilowatts out of twenty-four volts means current, and a great deal of it. Five hundred amps continuous and fifteen hundred at peak is the defining fact about specifying this motor: busbar or heavy cable rather than ordinary wiring, a controller rated for that current on a sustained basis rather than a nominal one, connections that are torqued and inspected, and a battery or supply capable of delivering it without collapsing. None of that is exotic on equipment already built around a 24 volt system, but it is not a motor that drops into an existing small installation. Where the constraint is a fixed 24 volt architecture — an existing vehicle, a vessel, a platform that cannot be rewired to a higher bus — this is how to reach 12 kW without changing it.
The rotor inertia of 0.020506 kg·m² is substantial, which makes the machine steady under shock loading: it carries momentum through a momentary jam rather than stalling. Paired with 236 Nm of peak torque, that suits drives which meet sudden resistance and have to push through it. Torque holds genuinely flat from standstill all the way to rated speed at every current up to 1,000 Arms, so the machine’s behaviour does not change across its working band. Only the peak curve begins to fall before 1,500 RPM, which is why peak power of 34.5 kW is reached slightly below rated speed rather than at it. At 59 kg with flange and foot mounting and an IP64 enclosure, it is built for fixed installation on working equipment.
Quality and compliance
Manufactured at our ISO 9001:2015 certified plant in Faridabad, India. Designed and tested to IEC 60034 — performance and rating to IEC 60034-1, IP64 enclosure to IEC 60034-5, mounting designations to IEC 60034-7, and Class H insulation to IEC 60085.
Every motor is individually tested before dispatch, not batch-sampled: winding resistance, insulation resistance, high-voltage withstand, back-EMF constant, no-load and loaded run, and temperature rise. Test reports are available on request.
Performance Curves
Where this motor is used
- Traction and drive axles on 24 V electric work vehicles and platforms
- Hydraulic power packs where the relief cycle demands short, heavy bursts of torque
- Marine propulsion and thruster drives on existing 24 V battery systems
- Repowering diesel-driven equipment that cannot be rewired to a higher-voltage bus
